Consultation on upgrades at Peace River Area Parks
2010-02-11
As part of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation’s commitment to consultation with stakeholders and the public, the Parks Division invite you to comment on proposed upgrades at Peace River Area Parks.
A draft conceptual design was prepared in partnership with the Town of Peace River, Northern Sunrise County and the Government of Alberta. The proposed design is for the 12 Foot Davis gravesite within Greene Valley Provincial Park, Peace River Provincial Recreation Area, and the Dr. William Greene memorial cairn on adjacent crown land in the Peace River area. The proposed upgrades are intended to improve recreational, educational, and tourism opportunities at the parks.
Information on the proposed conceptual design and instructions for providing written or online comments are available at www.albertaparks.ca/consult.
The consultation period for this proposal has started on January 26, 2010 and close on March 26, 2010. The Alberta Parks website will be updated once all comments have been considered and a decision has been reached. Check back after March 26, 2010 for updates on their website.
