The Official Website of Alberta Hiking Association   Home About Us Become a member Organizational members Become partner Become sponsor Sponsors News Links Contact Us     English Bay Recreation Area Proposed Campground Redevelopment 2010-02-27 As part of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation’s commitment to consultation with stakeholders and the public, the Parks Division invite Albertans to comment on a proposed campground redevelopment at English Bay Provincial Recreation Area. The proposed redevelopment, near Cold Lake, includes 185 camping units designed to accommodate large RV units and include power hook-ups. Facility upgrades, such as a boat launch, parking space, registration booth, day-use area, playground, new washrooms and walking trails will accommodate increased recreational demand. Information on the proposed campground redevelopment, and instructions for providing written or online comments are available at www.albertaparks.ca/consult. An open house has also been scheduled to provide information on the proposed redevelopment. Date: Thursday, March 11 Time: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Location: Cold Lake Energy Centre The consultation period for this proposal will close on April 25, 2010. The website will be updated after April 25, 2010 once all comments have been considered and a decision has been reached.
