Consultation on draft conceptual plan for an all-season trails system within the West Bragg Creek.
2010-03-23

As part of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation’s commitment to consultation with stakeholders and the public, the Parks Division would like to invite you to comment on a draft conceptual plan for an all-season trails system within the West Bragg Creek area in Kananaskis Country.

The draft plan was prepared through a partnership with the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association and the Government of Alberta. It is intended to provide direction for the development of sustainable all-season trails while reducing impacts on the Elbow River watershed, area wildlife and conflicts with other land uses.

Information on the draft plan, and instructions for providing written or online comments are available at www.albertaparks.ca/consult.

The consultation period for this proposal will start on March 19, 2010 and close on May 17, 2010. The website will be updated once all comments have been considered and a decision has been reached. Please check back after May 17, 2010 for updates.

Public feedback gathered during this consultation, site management efficiency, cost effectiveness and public safety will be key considerations in making a final decision on this plan.
