Alberta Hiking Association Annual General Meeting

The 2010 Annual General Meeting of the Alberta Hiking Association will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010, in the community Meeting rooms of the ATB Financial branch at 1110 - 17th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta. The meeting is expected to last for two to three hours.
An agenda will be circulated later. The bylaws of the AHA require the following items to be dealt with at the AGM:
1. Set membership fees
2. Elect directors for two-year terms
3. Present proposed annual budget
4. Set directors duties beyond what is specified in the bylaws
5. Present audited financial statement
6. Have books and records available for inspection by any member
Also, any special resolutions, such as bylaw amendments, must be passed at a general meeting, with at least 21 days’ prior notification to members of the resolution.
